I started my first full time job in June 2016, right after finishing university and before I’d even graduated. It was an intense experience and taught me a lot about working life in general. Here are some of the top lessons I learned.
What I Learned
What I Learned From Living Alone
I moved away from home in 2013 for university and spent three years house sharing in Sunderland. While the experiences certainly taught me a lot and I don’t regret moving out and living with other people, when it came to leaving university and taking on a full time job, I felt like it was the right time for me to live alone. I moved into a one bed flat in Sunderland in July 2016 and lived there until I changed careers in March 2017 and it made sense financially to move back home. I spent the better part of a year living on my own and in this post I’ll be sharing some of the most valuable lessons I learned from the experience.
